Greater Gulf Coast Beer Festival

Following the success of the First Greater Gulf Coast Beer Festival in 2010, Uptown Station have partnered with Chan’s Wine World to present the 2nd Annual Greater Gulf Coast Beer Festival.

The event is scheduled for Saturday November 12th, between 1pm and 4pm. This year the Festival will feature over 200 craft and artisan beers, plus celebrity brewers.

The event will be held in Uptown Station’s Central Park, as last year. For 2011, the space for the festival will be at least doubled, with beer tents surrounding Central Park and the stage area. Blue Lew’s Groove will be performing live on the Central Park Stage. Food will be supplied by many of Uptown Station’s restaurants, including Tijuana Flats, Buffalo Wild Wings, Mary's Kitchen, Clemenza's @ Uptown, A La Carte and Baskin Robbins (not included with admission). More restaurants will be announced soon.

For the second year, a percentage of the profits from the event will be donated to Children in Crisis, who will also be providing volunteers to help at the Festival. A judging of the beers available will held prior to the Festival by a panel of brewing and local celebrities. A date for the judging will be announced shortly.
