As you walk in the door at Ciao Bella, you are met with an enticing aroma. Next, a display of the day's specials comes into view. Colorful pastas dishes and salads, and tempting desserts let you see everything before you make a decision. The list of specials changes daily, and it is worth repeated trips to try everything. There is a good selection of pasta dishes and large, meaty meatballs are served with Ciao Bella's bright-tasting red sauce over ziti or linguini. Ciao' Bella's Italian sausage is lean, but flavorful with a subtle touch of fennel. Rotolo, sheets of pasta topped with spinach, carrot and ricotta cheese, then rolled and cut into rounds, is as pleasing to the eye as to the palate. Each colorful round is topped with cheese and tomato sauce. Another special was ravioli made from spinach pasta with a Gorgonzola filling. Ciao Bella has a variety of salads, including a Caesar and a caprese salads of slices of tomato and fresh mozzarella. Another delicious salad was composed of cubes of ham cheese, crisp carrot and onion in a piquant dressing.
