COFFEE HOUSE LIVE! returns to the Emerald Coast on Saturday, September 15th. Sponsored by the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of the Emerald Coast (UUFEC), COFFEE HOUSE LIVE! features musical talent from the Gulf Coast complemented by variety of coffees and treats.
The night of eclectic performances features traditional and original music, sizzling blues, ‘Indy’ style acoustic guitar and world-class piano jazz. Featured performers include: Jeanine Normand (“DR. JAZZ”) is founder of the well-known, all-woman jazz/dance orchestra "Jeanine Normand and Raw Silk." A New Orleans native, Jeanine has performed along the Gulf Coast and at concert halls and venues in Europe. Sharing the bill is local artist DAVE ABRAHAM, winner of Talent Searches and an opening act for Dan Fogelberg, Al Stewart and Gary Puckett. Abraham plays a blend of acoustic guitar blues and original tunes influenced by artists like Eric Clapton, Muddy Waters and Stephen Stills. Ian Casey returns with inventive, playful, and often haunting acoustic guitar originals. Ian is a local artist and a founding member of the talented Indy rock band ‘Tragedy’s Shadow’. And, The Fisher Bros, a big hit at the June COFFEE HOUSE LIVE, play a variety of songs from rock to blue grass! There are also “open mic” opportunities for budding performers and poets.
“COFFEE HOUSE LIVE!” opens at UUFEC at 7 p.m. on September 15th. he location is in Valparaiso on the corner of Bayshore Drive and John Sims Parkway. Although admission is free, a $5 donation is appreciated. For more information, contact Dave Abraham at 217-8481.
